This page lists the cookies this site actually sets. It was written from the site itself rather than from a template, and it is short on purpose.
What this site does not do
There is no analytics, no advertising, and no remarketing on this site. We do not build a profile of you and we do not sell or share anything about your visit. Given what most people are dealing with when they arrive here, that seemed like the right default.
One third-party script does run, on the cart and checkout pages only, and it is described below. Every other page on this site loads nothing from anyone but us.
Cookies this site sets
- woocommerce_items_in_cart and woocommerce_cart_hash — remember that you have added the kit to your cart. Without these your cart empties as you move between pages.
- wp_woocommerce_session_* — links your browser to your cart and order while you are checking out. Checkout cannot work without it.
These are strictly necessary: they exist so that a purchase can complete. None of them carries an advertising identifier.
Google reCAPTCHA on the cart and checkout
The cart and checkout pages load Google reCAPTCHA. It arrives with the PayPal payment extension and it is there to stop automated card-testing attacks against the payment form. It runs on those two pages only, and it can set cookies under Google’s own domains.
We do not use it for analytics and we receive no profile from it. Those cookies are Google’s, not ours, and we cannot read them. If you never open the cart, it never loads.
Cookies set by PayPal at checkout
Payment is processed by PayPal. When you reach the payment step, PayPal sets its own cookies under its own domain to run the transaction and detect fraud. Those cookies are PayPal’s, not ours, and we cannot read them. They are governed by PayPal’s own privacy statement, which is linked from the payment window.
Clearing or blocking cookies
You can clear or block cookies for this site in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies above will stop checkout from working, but everything you can read on this site will still be readable.
This site used to show a cookie banner with a button in the bottom-left corner. It has been removed. The only cookie it set was the one recording your answer to the banner itself, and there was nothing else on the site for it to ask about.
